Pancakes, the easiest thing to make…Or not!
I haven’t blogged in a week, and I feel bad. I have been lazy, but reading Irish’s blog has made me feel like…blogging.
Lets go back to last Sunday. The 27th of April I believe. After watching foodTV from about 9pm to about 1am, I decided that for the first time in a long time, I’m going to make pancakes tomorrow morning. I’ve made em’ soo many times, I used to be pro. Then I stopped…and made my dad or mum make them
So anyways, woke up early the next morning, and was off. Got the pancake mix ( no I didn’t make them from scratch ) the milk, and the eggs. Put them all into my Magic Bullet. I was excited, I hadn’t made pancakes in a long while. Anyways, started the Bullet, blah blah blah. It mixed, but at the base of the thing, the mix didn’t mix with the milk and eggs, so it was still powder. You’d expect that to be fixed in like a second, but no. Not when Gator wants to make pancakes. An hour later, and finally the MIX is done. During that hour, I switched blades, and did everything. Then I saw, a huge crack in the one of the blades. Thats why. Too late anyways, the mix and spilt and splurted out everywhere. My dad walked into the Kitchen. I look at him, and he starts laughing…and then went upstairs. How very supporting.
I then decided to kick it Old School. Took out the mixture from the Bullet, but it into a bowl, and mixed it till my hands hurt. That was in about 2 minutes. Then put it back, used the CORRECT AND FIXED blade, and pulverized it for about 5 seconds. Finally.
I was in a very experimental mood after that. I didn’t want to add Oregano, as Irish would’ve probably hinted to do, but I did add some Swiss Miss hot chocolate mix. And, some Quaker Oats Instant Oatmeal flakes. Blended it together, the result. Brown-ness. It was wicked.
Then finally, a good 20-30 minutes later, I finished making the batch.
Result: They tasted pretty good. I guess it really is true that if you make something on your own it taste good, cause to me it tasted outta this world, and my brother didn’t really like em’.
I lie I lie, they were good and got good reviews from my dad and brother.
Well thats pretty much it. Something that should be made in about half an hour, took an hour and a half for me. Doesn’t matter.
Thanks for reading anyways,
Just standing out,
Danny
